Method for installing an aqueduct at a junction between a body of water and a thoroughfare as well as an aqueduct trough for use with the method, a set comprising two aqueduct trough parts and a cap body or permanent form. In this case, two walls which extend at a distance from the thoroughfare are provided in the bottom of the body of water and in the adjacent banks by means of ramming. Subsequently, wet-excavating of the relevant bottom area between the walls is carried out and a floor is poured in the excavated area under water. Then, sealing with respect to the upper side of the wall sections takes place in such a manner that the longitudinal direction of the aqueduct trough produced is transverse to the longitudinal direction of the thoroughfare.
