A driving tool is provided with a contact arm 11 which can be moved in a vertical direction along an eject path 6 of a nose part 4 disposed in a lower portion of a tool body 2. When driving a nail, the contact arm 11 is moved upward with respect to the nose part 4 to thereby activate an operation of a trigger 10 which is used to operate a starting trigger valve 12. The contact arm 11 is held between two upper and lower springs 20 and 21 which are respectively disposed in a vicinity of the nose part 4. The contact arm 11 is urged by the upper spring 23 so that a lower end of the contact arm projects downwardly beyond a lower end of the nose part 4.
