The invention relates to a clutch and braking device for a drive unit with a drive shaft and a power output shaft which is mounted concentrically with respect thereto, one clutch component being permanently connected to one of the two shafts and at least one further spring-loaded clutch component being arranged fixed in terms of rotation and axially displaceably on the other of the two shafts, the clutch component which is arranged on the power output shaft being capable of being disconnected by means of a braking device. Here, for the engagement of the braking device 8, a ring 27 which is mounted concentrically with respect to the shafts 5, 6 and secured against axial displacement is provided, the said ring 27 having at least two connecting links 28 which are distributed over the circumference and into which in each case one releasing device 32 engages at the control faces 29 of the connecting links 28, the said releasing device 32 being attached to the spring-loaded coupling component 13.
